The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) says they should stop selling Viagra after eight years.
The MHRA said: "We continue to believe that Viagra, when used correctly, can help men to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.
"We also continue to believe that the drug should only be used for those men who have a medical condition which can result in an erection only after sexual contact.
"We urge people considering this treatment to consult their GP if they have any concerns or have had a history of heart problems or stroke, or if they are taking any other medicines, or any other form of treatment for erectile dysfunction.

The MHRA said the following on the availability of Viagra: "Viagra is not usually available over-the-counter at pharmacies. However, Viagra is available on prescription in some countries, including the UK, and is available on prescription in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand."
A small, but growing market for Viagra in India, which is the most popular ED drug among men, is expected to see its price increase by 50 percent in coming months.
The drug, which is called, is a generic version of the erectile dysfunction drug sildenafil, which is the drug used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is sold under the brand name Viagra, but is also available under a different name, Revatio.
